Programs

It is AWA’s Mission to promote global  knowledge and understanding of cultural diversity, in particular global African cultures and perspectives. We believe society and individuals are strengthened by information, interaction and mutual understanding of diverse cultures. Accordingly, AWA hosts various events annually: a Focus Series; Receptions and Panels on African perspectives of global issues discussed at the United Nations, in particular, at the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW); and a Summer Salon.
